Cambridge Confirms Paper Leak in June 2025 Exams in Pakistan

Cambridge International Education (CIE) has officially confirmed that parts of three A-Level exam papers were leaked in Pakistan during the June 2025 exam series. The affected papers include Mathematics Paper 12, Mathematics Paper 42, and Computer Science Paper 22.

CIE clarified that only partial content from the papers was shared before the scheduled exams. To ensure fairness, Cambridge has decided to award full marks for the specific questions that were leaked. This step aims to protect students who were not involved and maintain equal opportunities for all.

The final results will be issued on August 12, 2025, as originally planned. CIE emphasized that students’ grades will not be negatively affected by the leak.

To maintain the integrity of its exam system, Cambridge has taken strict action against those responsible. This includes cancelling the registration of centers linked to the leak and disqualifying any candidates found guilty of misconduct.

CIE also reassured students, parents, and schools that it remains committed to delivering secure and trustworthy examinations. Investigations are ongoing, and the board is working closely with local authorities to prevent such incidents in the future.

The announcement has brought some relief to students who were concerned about the impact on their grades. Cambridge’s swift decision to take corrective steps has been welcomed by many in the education community. Their main goal is to ensure that honest students are not penalized and that the value of the Cambridge qualification remains strong and respected.
