Sindh Govt to Produce Biopic on Abdul Sattar Edhi’s Life

The Sindh government has announced plans to make a biographical film on Abdul Sattar Edhi, one of Pakistan’s greatest humanitarians. The goal is to honor his life, remember his incredible services, and inspire the younger generation.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon shared this news during a film festival held in Karachi. He said the government is partnering with well-known filmmaker Satish Anand for this important project. Memon stressed that movies are a powerful way to highlight the stories of national heroes who made a real difference in people’s lives.

Abdul Sattar Edhi dedicated his life to helping the poor, the sick, and the abandoned. He built one of the largest volunteer ambulance networks in the world and opened homes for orphans, shelters for the homeless, and centers for the mentally ill. His work earned him love and respect from people around the globe.

Memon added that the film will focus on spreading Edhi’s message of kindness, simplicity, and selfless service. Although the cast and release date have not yet been shared, the government hopes the film will serve as both a tribute and a lesson for future generations.

Through this biopic, the Sindh government aims to keep Edhi’s legacy alive and encourage young people to follow in his footsteps. It will be a reminder that one person’s compassion can create a lasting impact on society.
