Lahore’s Hafeez Center has Caught Fire Once Again

Lahore’s famous electronics market, Hafeez Center, was once again caught in a dangerous fire today. Flames and heavy smoke quickly spread through the multi-storey building located in Gulberg, drawing attention from across the city.

The fire broke out while the city was experiencing heavy monsoon rains, which made the situation even harder for the rescue teams. The rainwater flooded the roads around Hafeez Center, causing delays and creating hurdles for fire trucks and emergency workers trying to reach the spot.

Despite the tough conditions, teams from Rescue 1122 and the police arrived quickly and began working to bring the fire under control. Firefighters struggled to contain the flames and stop them from spreading further inside the building, where hundreds of shops are located.

Many shops have suffered heavy damage from the fire, but the exact amount of losses has not yet been confirmed. Shop owners and traders gathered outside the building, worried about their goods and businesses. For many, Hafeez Center is not just a market but their main source of income, and this incident has left them deeply concerned about how they will recover.

Local authorities have promised a full investigation into how the fire started. In recent years, Hafeez Center has faced similar incidents, raising questions about fire safety standards and emergency preparedness in one of Lahore’s busiest commercial hubs.

Officials have urged traders to follow all safety measures to avoid such disasters in the future. The rescue teams continue their work to fully extinguish the fire and ensure everyone’s safety.
