Former Premier League defender has been appointed as the assistant coach of Pakistan’s men’s senior football team, bringing extensive experience from England’s top flight to the national setup.
Bramble played for clubs including Newcastle United, Sunderland and Wigan Athletic, making more than 200 Premier League appearances during a 13-year career in England’s highest division before moving into coaching.
The appointment also reunites Bramble with former Newcastle United teammate , who is currently leading Pakistan’s national side.
The pair shared the pitch 83 times for Newcastle between 2002 and 2007 and will now work together from the coaching staff as Pakistan prepares for its upcoming international commitments.
Bramble’s arrival adds Premier League playing experience and coaching expertise to Pakistan’s football setup.
His role will involve supporting Solano and the wider national team staff as they work on player development, tactical preparation and the team’s performance in future international competitions.
The appointment comes as Pakistan continues efforts to strengthen its football programme and build a more competitive national side.
