Pakistan Railways is all set to launch a brand-new business train on July 19, aiming to make train travel more modern and comfortable for passengers. The new train will have 28 coaches fitted with the latest digital systems, offering travelers free Wi-Fi and an international-quality dining car for better meals during their journey.
The new service will be officially launched in Lahore by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This step is part of a larger plan to upgrade the entire railway system in Pakistan and make it more passenger-friendly.
With this upgrade, passengers can look forward to digital ticketing, which means they can book tickets more easily and quickly. The coaches will also have improved seating, better facilities, and clean, modern spaces to make trips more comfortable. Train stations are also being upgraded to provide better waiting areas and services for travelers.
Pakistan Railways is also trying new ways to improve its operations by outsourcing the commercial management of some services. This means private companies will help run parts of the railway’s business side to make things more efficient and profitable.
In the past three years, Pakistan Railways has earned more than Rs3.95 billion just from its luggage and brake vans, showing that extra services can bring in big money if managed well.
With this new train and ongoing upgrades, Pakistan Railways hopes to win back more passengers by offering better services, modern facilities, and a travel experience that matches international standards.
