‘I Gave Up Major Leagues to Serve Pakistan. But Today, I Regret those Decisions’,Umar Akmal

Umar Akmal has openly shared his disappointment with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for repeatedly denying him No Objection Certificates (NOCs), which has stopped him from playing in international T20 leagues.

The 35-year-old cricketer called the PCB’s actions unfair and said he is now thinking about taking legal action to fight this treatment. Umar said that playing international cricket has always been his biggest goal, and he even turned down big T20 league offers in the past just to be available for Pakistan’s national team whenever needed.

However, Umar now says he regrets putting Pakistan first, as he never expected to be treated like this by the board. He expressed his disappointment, saying, “International cricket was always my top priority. I gave up many chances to play in major leagues to represent Pakistan. But today, I feel sorry for those choices because I never thought I’d face this kind of unfair behaviour.”

Umar Akmal also pointed out that the PCB has allowed other players with past disciplinary problems to get NOCs and play in leagues abroad, while he keeps facing rejection despite his sacrifices for the team.

His comments have started a fresh debate among fans about how the PCB treats its players and whether all cricketers are being given equal opportunities. Many supporters believe Umar should be allowed to play and earn from international leagues, especially when other players in similar situations are getting chances.

Umar’s next steps, including possible legal action, will be watched closely by cricket lovers in Pakistan.
