Four individuals with disabilities who were trapped in rising floodwaters were safely rescued in Mianwali on Saturday. The timely response came after local authorities received reports about their dangerous situation.
Deputy Commissioner Javed Goraya and District Police Officer (DPO) Captain (R) Ajmal Kharal quickly reached the scene along with rescue teams. Both officers personally led the rescue efforts, making sure that all four individuals were safely moved to a secure and dry location. Their presence and hands-on involvement helped speed up the operation and gave reassurance to those affected.
Assistant Commissioner of Esa Khel, Ghulam Murtaza, and District Emergency Officer (DEO) Engineer Naveed Iqbal also played a key role in the rescue. Their teamwork and coordination with local rescue services made it possible to save lives and prevent a tragedy.
