The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that more rain and thunderstorms are expected in many parts of the country in the coming days.
According to the forecast, starting from July 27, areas in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will receive heavy rain at different times. After that, from July 28 to 31, more rain and thunderstorms are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Islamabad as well.
The weather department has also said that southern Balochistan and parts of Sindh, including major cities like Karachi, Thatta, and Hyderabad, could see rainfall between July 29 and 31.
The PMD has advised people to be careful as heavy rain may cause flash floods in streams and rivers, especially in hilly areas. There is also a risk of landslides in regions like Kashmir, Murree, and Gilgit-Baltistan. In cities, the rain may lead to urban flooding and traffic problems, so citizens should plan accordingly.
Authorities have asked people living in areas at risk to stay updated with the weather news and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy downpours. Farmers and travelers should also take safety measures to protect themselves and their property during this rainy period.
The PMD has urged local disaster management teams to stay alert and ready for any emergencies. With these rain spells expected to continue for several days, people are encouraged to take all necessary steps to stay safe and help others if needed.
More updates will be shared as the situation develops to keep everyone informed and prepared.
