LACAS Becomes First Pakistani School Invited to Prestigious Villars Symposium 2025 in Switzerland

The LACAS School Network has made history by becoming the first and only school from Pakistan to be invited to the Villars Symposium 2025 in Switzerland, a prestigious global platform where over 100 international experts, educators, entrepreneurs, and more than 130 young Villars Fellows came together to shape a net-zero, nature-positive future.

Representing Pakistan on this global stage were Faris Jawad and Manal Hassan from LACAS A Level Burki Campus, and Zainab Irfan and Khawaja Kamran from LACAS A Level Johar Town Campus. Their participation marked not just a proud moment for LACAS but a significant milestone for the entire nation.

The Villars Symposium, hosted annually by the Villars Institute, focuses on advancing systems leadership for a sustainable future. It brings together a dynamic mix of students, subject-matter experts, and professionals to tackle pressing global challenges related to climate change, biodiversity loss, and equity. The symposium aims to inspire and equip young leaders with the mindset and tools to become changemakers in their communities and beyond.

The students from LACAS were selected based on their innovative project, which creatively combined gamification with sustainability initiatives such as afforestation, making environmental protection both engaging and impactful.

At the heart of this achievement lies LACAS’s educational philosophy: to empower students not only in their academic pursuits but also in developing their passions, critical thinking, and a strong sense of social responsibility. LACAS is committed to nurturing students who are Erudite, Articulate, and Humane.

The mission is to provide a secure, academically rigorous and inclusive learning environment that empowers all students to reach their full potential. As LACAS moves forward, it continues to innovate and evolve, preparing students to be future-ready in an ever-changing global arena.
