According to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the federal government is attempting to obtain advanced farm technologies from China and other countries in order to boost the agriculture industry.
A group of farmers met with Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss agricultural challenges and developments.
The prime minister told the farmers’ delegation that he had no business or personal interests other than working hard to improve Pakistan. He claimed that after becoming office, he worked to purge the country of the corruption of previous rulers who used to steal and move public funds abroad.
The sugar mafia, according to PM Khan, used to fix higher sugar prices as well as seize the rights of farmers by not paying them in full. He went on to say that the sugar mills’ group had threatened authorities over a Federal Investigation Agency investigation (FIA). They threatened to remove sugar from the market if a probe was opened against them, according to Prime Minister Khan.
He confessed that a struggle against the sugar mafia is ongoing, and that the government will prevail.
