Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar told the National Assembly that Pakistan’s policy on Palestine has never changed. He said the stance remains the same as Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, full support for a two-state solution, with pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds as the capital.
Dar reminded the house that Pakistan has always stood by the people of Palestine. He said their right to self-determination is non-negotiable and no outside pressure can alter Islamabad’s position.
Referring to the US-backed 20-point Gaza plan, Dar made it clear that Pakistan is not part of it. He stressed that the country’s stance is based on justice and humanitarian principles, not politics.
The Deputy PM also spoke about the worsening humanitarian crisis. He said Pakistan cannot stay silent while innocent people continue to lose their lives every day.
Dar assured lawmakers that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice at international forums. He said the government will also work with other nations that support the same vision for Palestine.
He concluded by saying that this is the same path Quaid-e-Azam had set, and it will continue to guide Pakistan’s foreign policy in the future.
