The Punjab government has launched several public service initiatives to improve health, infrastructure, and accessibility across the province.
As part of these efforts, bottled water will be delivered directly to homes in remote areas. Additionally, over 1.15 million people in flood-affected regions have already received medical treatment.
Other major initiatives include the planned introduction of electric buses by December, the opening of WASA offices in 25 districts and the restoration of more than 5,000 water filtration plants.
In Lahore, the government has repaired or rebuilt 4,624 streets under the city improvement plan. Measures have also been taken to prevent vandalism on newly constructed roads.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of reaching out to persons with disabilities, instructing officials to ensure that support and assistance reach every doorstep. She emphasized that no citizen should be left behind in receiving the benefits of government programs.
Phase 1 of the Lahore Development Project is progressing on schedule and is expected to be completed by November 30. The project aims to improve roads, public facilities and overall infrastructure in the city.
Through these initiatives, the Punjab government aims to make life easier for residents especially those in vulnerable and remote areas by providing essential services, better infrastructure and improved accessibility.
The focus is on ensuring that public services are delivered efficiently, safely, and fairly to everyone in the province.
These measures reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to public welfare, urban development, and inclusive growth, reinforcing its goal of creating a healthier, safer and more accessible Punjab for all citizens.
