AI+ is Here to Stay — and it’s Powering China’s Bext Big Leap!

China is stepping into the “AI+” era, as outlined in the Recommendations for the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030). The focus? Accelerating sci-tech self-reliance and building new quality productive forces.

The plan highlights four key directions — boosting original innovation, deepening the fusion of science and industry, advancing education and talent, and driving the Digital China initiative. Together, they’re designed to create a fertile ground for AI to thrive.

By the end of 2024, China had more than 4,500 AI enterprises, a number that keeps growing. From manufacturing and finance to healthcare, “AI+” has already become the engine of a new digital economy.

And this is just the beginning. China is now working to develop next-generation model algorithms and high-end AI chips, pushing for deeper integration of AI with industrial innovation, smarter consumption, and better public services.

From foundational models to humanoid robots, the progress is visible — and the ambition is clear. “AI+” isn’t just a slogan; it’s a strategy to turn intelligence into productivity and imagination into reality.
