Army, Rangers, and Aviation Helicopters to be Deployed for Pakistan-Sri Lanka-Zimbabwe Tri-Series

Security preparations have been completed for the Tri-Nation Cricket Series featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe, which will take place from November 11 to 27 in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

Officials have confirmed that all major arrangements are now in place to ensure that players, officials, and fans enjoy the event without any safety concerns.

The Punjab Home Department shared that special security units will be deployed in both cities. In Lahore, one company each from the Ar_my and Rangers will be assigned to handle security duties around the stadium and key routes.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi where several matches will also be played will receive an even larger deployment, with three companies each of Ar_my and Rangers stationed across important areas.

To increase monitoring, Ar_my Aviation helicopters will carry out aerial surveillance during match days. This will help authorities keep track of crowd movement, traffic flow, and any unusual activity from the sky.

The deployment of troops is being carried out under Article 245 of the Constitution as well as the Pakistan Rangers Ordinance of 1959, giving security forces the legal mandate to maintain law and order throughout the series.

The security plan will remain active from November 8 to 30, even beyond match days, to ensure smooth arrival and departure of teams and officials. Roads near stadiums will be closely monitored, and special traffic plans will guide fans safely to their seats.

Authorities say these measures are designed to create a peaceful environment so that cricket lovers can focus on the sport and enjoy an exciting tournament without any worries.
