BankIslami hosted a special reception dinner in Riyadh to honor His Excellency Ahmad Farooq, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The gathering brought together members of Saudi society along with many Pakistanis living and working in the Kingdom. The event created a warm and friendly environment where guests could connect, share experiences, and discuss opportunities for stronger cooperation.
During his remarks, Ambassador Farooq spoke about the long and close relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, a partnership that has lasted almost eight decades. He explained that both countries share deep trust, strong strategic goals, and a bond rooted in Islamic values. He also praised the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia for their hard work, noting that their contributions help build stronger connections between the people of both nations. Many members of the diaspora thanked the Ambassador in return, appreciating the Embassy’s support and the positive role he has played in improving bilateral relations.
Imran H. Shaikh expressed his gratitude to all the participants and highlighted the importance of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. He said the vision reflects the wisdom and leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and that it serves as an example for many other countries. He also shared that BankIslami is committed to promoting Islamic banking around the world and offering Shariah-compliant financial solutions that bring real value to communities.
The session ended with participants stressing the need to deepen cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, especially in areas that can benefit both nations. BankIslami reaffirmed its dedication to supporting Islamic finance that is free from Riba (interest) and promised to continue taking part in community-focused initiatives that strengthen social and economic ties.
