Millions Attend Taraweeh and Khatam-e-Quran Prayers at Masjid al-Haram

Millions of worshippers gathered at Islam’s two holiest mosques during the holy month of Ramadan to offer Taraweeh and Khatm-e-Quran prayers. Large crowds were seen at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, showing the deep spiritual importance of these nights.

At Masjid al-Haram, the prayers were led by Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, while at Masjid an-Nabawi, they were led by Salah Al-Budair. Worshippers stood in long rows, listening to the full recitation of the Quran during the special nightly prayers, which hold great value in Ramadan.

Images and videos from the holy sites showed a peaceful and organized environment despite the large number of people. The inner halls, open courtyards, rooftops, and expanded areas of Masjid al-Haram were filled. Even nearby streets saw heavy crowds as more people gathered to be part of the prayers.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques made detailed arrangements to manage the large number of visitors. Special focus was placed on crowd control, safety, and smooth movement of worshippers. Staff and volunteers were deployed across different areas to guide people and provide support where needed.

These gatherings reflect the unity of Muslims from around the world, who come together in large numbers during Ramadan to pray, reflect, and seek blessings in the holiest places of Islam.
