The University of Sheffield has opened applications for its International Postgraduate Scholarship 2026, offering financial support to overseas students pursuing postgraduate taught programmes in the United Kingdom. The scholarship is designed to help international students reduce tuition costs while encouraging global academic participation at the university.
According to the university, eligible students can receive a £3,000 tuition fee scholarship for selected master’s programmes starting in September 2026. The award will be applied directly as a tuition fee discount, making the process easier for international applicants.
Eligibility Criteria for International Students
The scholarship is available to self-funded international students classified as overseas fee-paying applicants. To qualify, candidates must secure admission to an eligible postgraduate taught course and accept their offer before the deadline announced by the university.
The institution stated that most postgraduate taught programmes are included, although certain courses such as PGDip, PGCert, Erasmus Mundus programmes, and some clinical courses are excluded. Students enrolled in online or distance-learning programmes are also not eligible for the scholarship.
