AirSial to Launch First Passenger Flight to Skardu on May 18

A new direct flight service between Islamabad and Skardu is going to start later this month, making travel to northern Pakistan easier and faster for passengers.

Airline company AirSial has announced that its first official flight on this route will operate on May 18. This new service will directly connect the capital city with Skardu, a popular tourist destination known for its mountains, lakes, and scenic valleys.

Officials said the new route is expected to greatly benefit tourists who previously had to rely on longer and more difficult travel options to reach the region. With direct flights now available, visitors will be able to save time and travel more comfortably.

The airline stated that the launch of this route is part of its plan to improve domestic connectivity and support tourism in northern areas of Pakistan. It added that the new service will also help increase passenger flow to Skardu, which is already a major attraction for both local and international travelers.

According to reports, successful test flights were carried out before the official launch to ensure safety and operational readiness. These tests confirmed that the route is fully prepared for regular commercial operations.

Skardu continues to gain popularity due to its natural beauty, high mountains, and unique landscapes. Tourism officials believe that better air connectivity will further boost the local economy, create job opportunities, and support small businesses in the region.

Travel experts say the new direct flight will encourage more domestic tourism, especially during peak travel seasons, and make northern Pakistan more accessible to families, adventure travelers, and nature lovers.
