Lahore Police Ban Keeping Sacrificial Animals on Streets

The Lahore Police has announced a ban on keeping sacrificial animals on streets, roadsides, and public spaces ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, aiming to maintain traffic flow, cleanliness, and public safety across the city. Authorities said strict action will be taken against individuals who violate the orders, while special teams will monitor different areas to ensure implementation of the directive.

Police officials stated that citizens have been advised to keep sacrificial animals within homes, designated areas, or approved cattle markets to avoid inconvenience to residents and commuters. The administration also warned against setting up temporary animal camps on main roads, saying the move is part of broader arrangements to manage Eid-related activities smoothly and reduce sanitation and security concerns in Lahore.
