Punjab authorities have taken strict action against private schools in Changa Manga for violating the officially announced summer vacation schedule issued due to the ongoing heatwave across the province.
Following the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kasur, special inspection teams carried out surprise visits to various educational institutions and discovered that several schools were continuing classes despite clear government orders to remain closed during the summer break.
As a result of the violations, authorities sealed multiple schools, including Leeds School, Sindhu Model School, Quaid-e-Azam Public School, and Hazara Public School. Officials said the action was taken to ensure student safety and to enforce compliance with provincial directives during the extreme weather conditions.
The Punjab government had earlier announced summer vacations for all schools from May 22 to August 23 in response to rising temperatures and heatwave alerts. District administration officials warned that monitoring will continue across the region and any institution found defying the closure orders will face strict legal and administrative action.
