Bohra Community Celebrating Eid ul Azha Today Across Pakistan

The Bohra community in Pakistan is celebrating Eid ul Azha today with great religious devotion, unity, and joy. Members of the community across major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Quetta, gathered in mosques and community halls to offer Eid prayers.

Following the prayers, families performed the traditional Qurbani (sacrifice) in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) obedience to Allah. The spirit of sacrifice, compassion, and sharing was clearly visible as the community distributed meat among relatives, neighbours, and especially the underprivileged.

The Bohra community is known for its strong emphasis on charity and social welfare. Large quantities of meat, food packets, and essential items were distributed to needy families, reflecting the true essence of Eid ul Azha.

Festive meals and family gatherings were also organized throughout the day, strengthening bonds of brotherhood and harmony within the community. Women and children participated actively, wearing traditional and colourful attire.

Leaders of the Dawoodi Bohra community encouraged members to remember the values of faith, sacrifice, and kindness. Many Bohras also offered special prayers for peace and prosperity in Pakistan.

This celebration highlights how the Bohra community upholds strong religious traditions while promoting unity, generosity, and social responsibility in Pakistani society.
