President Asif Ali Zardari has highlighted his personal role in the development of Gwadar Port, stating that the project is the result of 14 years of continuous study, planning, and strategic thinking.
Speaking during a recent address, President Zardari said he worked tirelessly for over a decade to turn the vision of Gwadar into reality. He described the port as a game-changing project that will strengthen Pakistan’s economy, increase regional connectivity, and open new doors for trade and investment.
Gwadar Port, located in Balochistan, is considered one of the most important components of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It holds immense strategic importance due to its location near the Arabian Sea and the Strait of Hormuz, through which a large portion of the world’s oil passes.
President Zardari emphasized that Gwadar was not developed overnight but through years of dedication and national vision. He called it a gift to future generations that will create jobs, boost economic activity, and put Pakistan on the global trade map.
The President’s remarks have renewed attention on the progress of Gwadar Port and its potential to transform the economy of Balochistan and the entire country.
