As Hajj comes to an end, departing pilgrims in Jeddah are being gifted copies of the Holy Qur’an along with translations in more than 80 languages. The initiative is being carried out by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs to help pilgrims continue their spiritual journey after returning home.
The distribution is taking place at King Abdulaziz International Airport, where pilgrims leaving the Kingdom are receiving these valuable gifts before their departure. Around 1.9 million copies of the Holy Qur’an have been prepared for the program.
These copies were printed by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an in Madinah, one of the world’s largest centers dedicated to producing Qur’anic texts.
The initiative is not limited to airports. Copies of the Holy Qur’an are also being distributed at land and sea entry and exit points across Saudi Arabia. This allows pilgrims traveling through different routes to benefit from the program.
Officials said the goal is to help pilgrims read, understand, and reflect on the teachings of the Holy Qur’an in their native languages. By providing translations in a wide range of languages, the initiative makes it easier for people from different countries and cultures to connect with the message of Islam.
The program reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to serve pilgrims and support their religious experience beyond the Hajj journey. Authorities have confirmed that the distribution process will continue throughout the post-Hajj departure period, ensuring that millions of pilgrims receive a copy of the Holy Qur’an before returning to their home countries.
