From Peshawar to Skardu! Pakistani Runner Masood Khan Completes 808 km in Just 9 Days

Pakistani endurance runner Masood Khan has achieved an extraordinary milestone by completing an 808-kilometre run from Peshawar to Skardu in only nine days. His remarkable journey has drawn attention from public across the country due to the extreme physical and mental challenges involved.

The route covered some of Pakistan’s most demanding landscapes, including steep mountain roads, river crossings, and lengthy sections of the famous Karakoram Highway. He finished at Skardu View Point, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Skardu Nisar Ahmed also praised his strong determination. According to reports, Khan ran for up to 17 hours a day to maintain the pace needed to complete the challenge within the planned timeframe.

The final days of the run were especially difficult, as he reportedly continued despite physical strain and injuries. His progress was tracked through the fitness platform Strava, which documented the entire route and verified the distance covered during the challenge.

Endurance running is considered one of the toughest forms of athletics because it tests both physical fitness and mental strength over long periods. Completing more than 800 kilometres in just nine days places Khan among the most dedicated endurance athletes in the region.

His achievement has been widely praised as a symbol of resilience, discipline, and perseverance. The journey also showcased the breathtaking landscapes of northern Pakistan while highlighting what can be accomplished through determination and consistent effort.
