Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa has announced a new initiative under which passports will be delivered directly to citizens’ homes starting July 1. The move is aimed at making passport services more convenient and reducing the burden on passport offices across the country.
According to reports, the new home delivery service will help citizens avoid long queues and repeated visits to passport offices for passport collection. Authorities believe the initiative will improve public service and make the passport issuance process more efficient.
During a recent visit to various passport office sections, Muhammad Ali Randhawa met citizens and personally listened to their complaints, suggestions, and concerns regarding passport-related services. Many people shared their experiences and highlighted issues they had faced during the application and collection process.
The DG reviewed the working conditions at different counters and instructed officials to focus on providing better services to the public. He emphasized the importance of resolving citizens’ problems quickly and directed staff to address complaints immediately whenever possible.
Officials say the home delivery system is part of broader efforts to modernize passport services and improve customer satisfaction. The initiative is expected to save time for applicants and reduce overcrowding at passport offices.
Authorities also stressed the need for efficient service delivery and transparency in handling public matters. They believe that direct passport delivery will make the process easier, especially for elderly citizens, working professionals, and people who have difficulty making multiple visits to government offices.
The new system is expected to benefit thousands of applicants across Pakistan. With the launch of home delivery services from July 1, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports aims to provide faster, more accessible, and citizen-friendly services while improving the overall passport application experience.
