Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi made a surprise late-night visit to University Road in Peshawar. He sat with laborers who were sleeping on the footpaths and listened to their problems.
The Chief Minister, who took office in October 2025, showed care for the common people by meeting homeless workers near Spain Mosque. He asked them about their daily challenges, living conditions, and difficulties they face in bad weather.
Sohail Afridi encouraged the workers to use government shelter homes instead of sleeping outdoors. He directed officials to provide better facilities for food, shelter, and other basic needs. He made it clear that no one should sleep under the open sky in the city.
Born in 1989 in Bara Tehsil, Khyber District, the young PTI leader has a background in economics and student politics. This visit highlights his focus on public welfare and direct contact with citizens.
He stressed that laborers deserve dignity, respect, and protection. The government has a duty to safeguard their well-being. Such actions build trust between leaders and the people. This late-night visit shows a new style of leadership that puts the poor first.
