Kia Pakistan has announced a big price cut on its popular Sportage L Alpha SUV. The company reduced the ex-factory price by Rs. 1,000,000, bringing it down from Rs. 8,899,000 to Rs. 7,899,000. This change took effect from June 22, 2026, for both cash and financing buyers.
Lucky Motor Corporation, the official assembler and distributor of Kia vehicles in Pakistan, made this move to make the SUV more attractive in the competitive market. The new price does not include freight, insurance, or any future taxes and duties, which customers will still have to pay.
The Kia Sportage L Alpha is a spacious family SUV with modern looks and good performance. It features a 2.0L SmartStream petrol engine that produces 154 horsepower and 192 Nm of torque. It comes with a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The SUV offers decent fuel efficiency of around 10-12 km/l.
Key features include an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, and comfortable fabric seats. Safety comes with dual airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist. Its long wheelbase (2755 mm) and overall length of about 4660 mm provide plenty of space for families and good boot capacity.
This price reduction is part of a trend where car makers in Pakistan are lowering prices to fight high inflation and strong competition. The Sportage Alpha now competes better with models like the Hyundai Tucson, Haval H6, Toyota Fortuner, and other crossovers in the mid-range SUV segment.
