Pakistan has completed a major heritage project. After nearly nine years of hard work, the famous Picture Wall at Lahore Fort is now fully restored. This is one of the country’s biggest efforts to save its cultural history.
The Picture Wall stretches almost 500 metres along the fort. It is a beautiful Mughal-era mural made of thousands of decorative panels. These panels show hunting scenes, colorful flowers, geometric designs, and fine tilework. The wall is one of the largest and most impressive Mughal artworks in the world.
UNESCO has praised the restoration project. Experts used scientific methods, international help, and local skills to bring the wall back to its old glory. The work protected the delicate tiles and colors from further damage caused by time and weather.
Lahore Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The restored Picture Wall will attract more tourists to the city. Visitors can now enjoy this stunning piece of history in better condition.
