More than six million people have reportedly signed an online petition demanding that Argentina be removed from the FIFA World Cup, alleging that the team has benefited from biased refereeing decisions during the tournament.
The petition has fueled intense debate across social media, with fans expressing mixed opinions over the officiating and the use of VAR in key matches. However, Argentina’s manager has firmly dismissed the allegations, insisting that claims of referee favoritism are baseless.
He emphasized that manipulating match outcomes would be virtually impossible in the modern game due to the presence of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system and the multiple layers of review involved in every major decision. The controversy continues to generate widespread discussion among football supporters worldwide.
