The Pakistan Navy successfully rescued all 19 crew members from a stranded fishing vessel in the North Arabian Sea. The boat, named Al Jalali, suffered an engine failure about 120 nautical miles south of Gwadar.
The crew included 11 Pakistani and 8 Iranian nationals. Rough monsoon weather made the situation more dangerous and put their lives at risk.
The Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) quickly coordinated the rescue. Pakistan Navy ship PNS Taimur was sent to the area without delay. The naval team provided food, drinking water, and medical assistance to the crew. They then safely towed the vessel toward the shore despite the difficult sea conditions.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Navy for its professionalism and quick action. He said the successful mission showed the Navy’s strong commitment to protecting lives at sea and its readiness to respond to emergencies.
