Rs. 6.5 Million Stolen from Edhi Orphanage Before Staff Salary Distribution

Four armed robbers targeted an Edhi Centre in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth area, escaping with approximately Rs. 6.5 million in cash that had reportedly been withdrawn from a bank to disburse salaries to more than 200 employees.

According to initial reports, the suspects arrived wearing helmets and with their faces concealed, entered the premises, and held staff members at gunpoint before seizing the cash.

The entire incident was captured on the centre’s CCTV cameras, providing investigators with valuable footage to help identify those involved. Following the robbery, police launched an investigation and began reviewing the surveillance recordings while collecting evidence from the scene.
