Punjab Boards to Replace Printed Result Cards with Digital Certificates

Punjab’s nine educational boards have approved the introduction of a Digital Result Card System, marking a shift away from traditional printed result cards toward downloadable digital certificates.

Under the new system, students will be able to access and obtain their result cards online through the respective education boards’ official portals, making the process more convenient and reducing the need to collect physical documents.

The new digital result cards will include QR codes and other security features designed to make verification easier and help protect the documents from misuse or duplication.

The digitally issued certificates will carry official recognition and can be used for a range of academic and professional purposes, including university admissions, employment applications, scholarships, equivalence procedures and other situations where proof of academic results is required.

The implementation will be carried out in phases. The first phase will cover results for Class IX and First Year, while Class X and Second Year results will be included in the second phase.

Both regular and private students will be able to access their digital certificates online, giving students across Punjab a faster and more accessible way to obtain official academic documents.

The move is expected to simplify the result-card process while supporting the wider digitisation of educational services across the province.

By providing secure, verifiable digital documents, the boards aim to make it easier for students to access and share their academic records whenever required.
