Fuel Price Update: Petrol Falls by Rs. 0.94, Diesel Rises by Rs. 0.54 Per Litre

The federal government has announced a mixed adjustment in fuel prices, bringing a slight reduction in the cost of petrol while increasing the price of diesel. Under the latest revision, petrol has become Rs. 0.94 cheaper per litre, with the new price set at Rs.324.98 per litre.

In contrast, the price of diesel has increased by Rs. 0.54 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs. 382.79 per litre. The revised prices will come into effect from August 13, according to the government’s latest notification.

The adjustment is expected to have a mixed impact on consumers and businesses. While petrol users will receive limited relief from the lower price, the increase in diesel costs could affect transportation, logistics and other sectors that rely heavily on diesel for their operations.
