The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a five-year Golden Residency option for outstanding school students who meet specific academic requirements. The programme aims to support talented students and encourage them to continue their education and future careers in the country.
Who Can Apply?
According to the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), high school students need to score at least 95% to qualify for the Golden Residency.
Students must also have a recommendation from the UAE Ministry of Education and provide documents that prove their academic results like recommendation letter and certificates of excellence.
The residency is also open to skilled professionals, outstanding graduates, and people who meet other eligible criteria.
No Employer or Personal Sponsor Required
The UAE Golden Residency does not require individuals to have an employer or personal sponsor. This gives eligible students more freedom and stability while living and studying in the country.
Golden Residency holders may also receive residency benefits for their family members, depending on the programme’s rules.
Golden Residency for University Students
The UAE also offers a 10-year Golden Residency to outstanding university students who meet the required conditions. Eligible students generally need a minimum GPA of 3.8 from an accredited university, along with the required recommendation and documents.
