Pakistan’s batting problems continued in the third and final Test against England at Edgbaston on September 9, as the team suffered another early collapse.
England won the toss and chose to bowl first, making good use of the conditions. Pakistan lost opener Saim Ayub for a duck at just 8 runs, giving Ollie Robinson his 100th Test wicket. Azan Awais followed for 9, while Abdullah Shafique managed only 3.
The situation worsened when Shan Masood was dismissed for 5, leaving Pakistan struggling at 26 for 4. Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel then tried to rebuild the innings, but Babar was bowled by Josh Tongue after scoring just 7.
Pakistan had made four changes for the final Test, with Ghazi Ghori, Razaullah Wazir and Mohammad Imran Randhawa making their Test debuts. However, the changes did little to stop England’s strong bowling attack.
For now, Pakistan are struggling at 100 for 7, with Saud Shakeel on 37 not out. Josh Tongue has taken four wickets so far.
