Babar Azam has reportedly become the first batter to score more than 3,000 international runs in each of the three formats during the 2020s. His achievement highlights his consistency across Test, ODI and T20I cricket during the current decade.
The Pakistan batter has been one of the country’s leading run scorers in recent years. His overall international record includes more than 4,600 Test runs, over 6,600 ODI runs and more than 4,500 T20I runs. He is also currently the highest run scorer in T20I cricket.
Babar reached the latest milestone despite a difficult period in Test cricket. He has not scored a Test century since December 2022, while his recent performances against England have also been modest.
His consistency during the decade has nevertheless kept him among Pakistan’s most productive batters. The milestone adds another notable record to his international career, which already includes several achievements for Pakistan in all three formats.
