Suzuki Alto once again emerged as Pakistan’s best-selling passenger car in August 2026, with sales reaching 5,339 units.
The strong performance allowed the compact hatchback to retain its position at the top of the country’s passenger-car market, despite an overall slowdown in monthly sales.
Total passenger-car sales stood at 13,717 units during the month, representing a 36.4% increase compared with August last year, although sales declined by 20.3% from July.
Toyota also recorded significant sales during August, with its Corolla, Yaris and Corolla Cross models collectively selling 3,079 units. Honda followed with 2,553 units from the City and Civic models, while Hyundai Elantra posted notable growth with 458 units sold.
On a cumulative basis, passenger-car sales during July and August reached 30,933 units, marking an increase of nearly 80% year-on-year. The figures point to stronger overall demand in Pakistan’s auto market, even as August experienced a month-on-month decline.
