“We are with Saudi Arabia to Protect Harmain Sharif” Pakistan Foreign Ministry

Pakistan has reiterated its support for Saudi Arabia in ensuring the protection and security of the Harmain Sharifain, Islam’s two holiest sites.

The Foreign Ministry said Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Kingdom and remains committed to safeguarding the sanctity and security of the sacred places in Makkah and Madinah.

The ministry’s statement reflects the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with both countries maintaining close cooperation on matters of mutual importance. The protection of the holy sites holds particular significance for Pakistan and its people.

Pakistan has consistently expressed support for Saudi Arabia’s efforts to ensure that pilgrims can visit and worship at the sacred sites in a secure environment.

The latest statement also underlines the importance Pakistan attaches to the safety and sanctity of the Harmain Sharifain. The two holy mosques receive millions of Muslims from around the world each year for worship and pilgrimage.

The reaffirmation comes as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue to maintain close diplomatic and bilateral relations. Both countries have historically supported cooperation in areas involving religious, economic and regional matters.

Through its latest position, Pakistan has again emphasised its solidarity with the Kingdom and its commitment to supporting the security and sanctity of Islam’s most sacred places.
