The Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran organised a Seerat Conference and Naatia Mushaira at Pakistan House, bringing together scholars, academics, poets and guests from Iran to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The event focused on the relevance of Seerat in addressing contemporary social challenges and promoting values such as compassion, justice, kindness and mutual respect. Discussions also highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence and character-building, particularly among younger generations.
Ambassador Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, while addressing the gathering, emphasised the need for today’s youth to understand and adopt these values in their daily lives. He noted the role of Seerat in encouraging positive behaviour and stronger social bonds.
Islamic scholars and academics shared their perspectives on different aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), while poets added a cultural dimension to the event through Naat recitations in both Urdu and Persian.
The gathering also included the inauguration of a calligraphy exhibition featuring works by renowned Pakistani artists. The exhibition provided visitors with an opportunity to view Islamic calligraphy and highlighted Pakistan’s artistic traditions.
The conference served as a platform for intellectual and cultural exchange between Pakistani and Iranian participants, combining discussions on Seerat with poetry and art.
The event concluded with participants reflecting on the continuing relevance of the Prophet’s teachings in promoting compassion, social harmony and respectful coexistence.
