Elon Musk Becomes World’s First Trillionaire Again After $65 Billion Jump in One Day

Elon Musk has once again crossed the trillion-dollar wealth mark, reclaiming his position as the world’s only trillionaire after a sharp rise in SpaceX shares.

SpaceX stock climbed nearly 8% on Monday and closed at $171.09, pushing Musk’s estimated fortune to around $1.046 trillion, according to Forbes. The increase came after his wealth had fallen below the trillion-dollar level following a decline in SpaceX’s share price.

Musk had first entered the trillionaire club in June after SpaceX made its historic stock market debut. The company’s shares jumped strongly during their first trading session, significantly increasing the value of Musk’s stake and making him the first person to reach a 13-figure fortune.

His latest return to the milestone highlights how closely his personal wealth is linked to the performance of his companies. A major portion of Musk’s fortune comes from his holdings in SpaceX and Tesla, meaning changes in their share prices can quickly add or remove billions of dollars from his estimated net worth.

The latest SpaceX rally also pushed the company’s stock to its highest level since June. The rise followed renewed investor interest in the company, with analysts pointing to its future artificial intelligence products, Starship development and other business opportunities.

Musk remains far ahead of other billionaires on global wealth rankings, with his fortune now back above the trillion-dollar threshold.
