A woman in Multan has reported that around 80 tolas of gold, reportedly worth millions of rupees, went missing from her locker at a private bank.
According to the complaint, the matter came to light when she discovered that the locker’s lock was not functioning properly.
The locker was subsequently opened with the assistance of a technician, after which the woman reportedly found that the gold kept inside was missing.
She then approached the police and submitted a complaint, seeking an investigation into the alleged disappearance of the valuables.
Police have started investigating the matter and have recorded statements from both the complainant and relevant bank staff.
Reports suggesting that the bank manager left the premises following the incident remain allegations and have not been independently verified.
