Several Roads in Peshawar Reopen After Two-Day Closure

Normal life is gradually returning to Peshawar after authorities reopened major roads following a two-day closure linked to heightened security concerns.

Traffic has resumed on several key routes across the city, including roads leading to the Red Zone. Public transport services have also restarted, while markets and commercial centres are gradually returning to routine operations.

Security personnel remain stationed at sensitive locations to maintain law and order and respond to any potential protests. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation as political tensions remain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Most educational institutions in the area have reopened, allowing students to return to their regular academic schedules. However, schools remain closed in 12 districts, affecting educational activities in those areas.

Despite the easing of restrictions, the road connecting Peshawar High Court with the Press Club remains closed. The continued closure indicates that security arrangements are still in place at certain locations.

The reopening of major routes and the resumption of public and commercial activities have brought some relief to residents after two days of disruption. Authorities are keeping a close watch on developments to ensure public safety and prevent further disturbances as the political situation unfolds.
