The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has obtained a four-day physical remand of Awam Raj Tehreek chief and former television anchor Iqrar-ul-Hassan in a case registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
Iqrar-ul-Hassan was presented before a judicial magistrate at Karachi East-I on Tuesday, where the court approved the agency’s request to keep him in custody for four days for further investigation.

According to the available information, Iqrar-ul-Hassan was arrested from Lahore’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) before being brought to Karachi. He reportedly arrived in the city at around 1am.
The four-day remand will allow investigators to continue their inquiry into the case. Further details regarding the allegations against him and the progress of the investigation have not been provided in the information available so far.
The case marks a legal development involving the former anchor, who currently heads the Awam Raj Tehreek. Any further proceedings will depend on the investigation and subsequent court hearings.
