Sahibzada Farhan Becomes Highest Run-Scorer, Breaking Abhishek Sharma’s Record

Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has set a new record for the most runs scored in a three-match T20I series between Full Member nations, surpassing India’s Abhishek Sharma.

Farhan scored 238 runs against Sri Lanka across the three-match series, moving past Sharma’s previous record of 229 runs against Afghanistan in 2026. The Pakistan batter produced three consecutive half-centuries, scoring 89, 73 and 76 in the series.

His consistent performances played an important role as Pakistan secured a 2-1 series victory over Sri Lanka. Farhan was also named Player of the Tournament in his first assignment as Pakistan’s T20I captain.

The 30-year-old opener has been in impressive form in the shortest format, accumulating 632 runs across his last 11 T20I innings. His latest performances have further strengthened his position as one of Pakistan’s leading run-scorers in T20I cricket.

Farhan’s three-match tally of 238 runs places him at the top of the record list for a bilateral T20I series involving Full Member teams. His ability to score consistently across all three matches also helped Pakistan maintain momentum throughout the series.

The record adds another milestone to Farhan’s recent run of form and highlights his growing contribution to Pakistan’s T20I side. With the team continuing to build towards future international competitions, his performances provide another positive development for Pakistan’s batting lineup.

Farhan’s record-breaking series has also drawn attention to his leadership debut, making the achievement particularly notable as he combined captaincy responsibilities with strong individual performances.
