Islamabad is set to get a new theme park with funding from Saudi investors under an agreement signed on October 25, 2026. The project aims to add new entertainment options to the capital and support tourism and investment.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Business Council, and Sohail Ashraf, chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi attended the ceremony.
Under the proposed arrangement, Saudi investors will finance the project, while the CDA will provide land for its construction. The government has also promised to facilitate and protect the investors.
Naqvi said Islamabad’s infrastructure was being developed to match modern cities and described the theme park as an important project for the capital. Prince Mansour also highlighted Pakistan’s investment opportunities, particularly in Islamabad.
However, officials have not yet shared the park’s location, total cost, design or construction schedule. The agreement marks an initial step, and further details will be needed to understand when the project could open to the public.
