Interloop’s quarterly profit rises 52.9% to Rs 4.28 billion as earnings outpace sales

Interloop earned more profit from a growing sales base in the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Its unaudited standalone profit after tax rose 52.9% year-on-year to Rs 4.28 billion.

Interloop Limited (PSX: ILP) reported the figures in its first-quarter report, transmitted on Friday, 30 October 2026. Net sales rose 13.6%, putting earnings growth ahead of revenue growth.

Profit grows faster than sales

Net sales reached Rs 49.7 billion, compared with Rs 43.8 billion in the corresponding period last year. This is the revenue the company generated before accounting for its expenses.

Operating profit reached Rs 7.59 billion, with the filing reporting an increase from the corresponding quarter. Profit after tax, the earnings left after taxation, rose to Rs 4.28 billion from Rs 2.8 billion.

These are standalone, or unconsolidated, figures for the company. The report also presents separate consolidated results for the group; those are not part of these comparisons.

The year-earlier comparison

Against the corresponding quarter last year, Interloop expanded both sales and earnings. Profit grew faster than revenue, rather than simply keeping pace with it.

The supplied results do not include a comparable quarter before that year-earlier period. They therefore support a year-on-year comparison, but not a longer earnings trend.

What the earnings gap suggests

In plain terms, the faster growth in profit than sales suggests improved profitability in the quarter. The company retained more earnings as its business grew.

The report attributes the performance to higher sales volumes, capacity use, product mix and cost management. It also cites higher other income, primarily gains on derivatives, so the earnings improvement was not solely a sales story.
