Murtaza Wahab, the administrator of Karachi and the spokesperson for the Sindh government, stated on Saturday that the Shaheed-e-Millat underpass in the city would be named after famed comic Umer Sharif, who recently died on Saturday.
“In honor of the services done by late #UmerSharif, KMC would name its underpass at the intersection of Shaheed e Millat and Hyder Ali Roads as “Umer Sharif Underpass,” the administration of Karachi stated on Twitter.
Umer Sharif, the legendary comedian, died in Germany at the age of 66, following a lengthy illness. He was most known for his work as a stand-up comedian.
