After Panama Papers, Pandora Papers are ready to Release

The release of the Pandora Papers (Panama-2) by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) today marks the beginning of the unfolding of yet another global scandal.

According to the details, another worldwide scandal in the vein of the Panama Papers is about to be revealed. A total of 11.9 million papers will be made available today by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

Even the Panama Papers probe in 2016 will pale in comparison to the scope of this global inquiry. This probe has involved as many as 600 journalists and 150 media organizations from 117 countries, according to the investigators.

According to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), the Pandora Papers project has financial information on notable persons from 117 nations, including Pakistan. Two Pakistani journalists were also involved in the Pandora Papers investigation, which was conducted by the FBI.

It has also been alleged that the Pandora Papers contain financial information about a number of prominent Pakistani individuals.

Remember that the Panama Papers, which were leaked in 2015, revealed the names of many significant and renowned people who had ties to offshore businesses and were exposed as such. There was widespread chaos in Pakistan, as the ruling party PMLN and its Sharif family were at the forefront of the trial that resulted from the files being leaked to media.
