Umar Akmal, a right-handed batsman from Pakistan who left the country in the middle of the season to pursue international prospects, bowled for a golden duck in his debut encounter in the United States.
Prior to signing a contract with the Northern California Cricket Association, the 31-year-old urged followers to pray. He appears to be upbeat, but luck was not on his side when he entered the first bowl.
While the tape of Umar’s golden duck is making the rounds on social media, the Pakistani cricketer also bowled four overs in his maiden encounter but failed to get any wickets.
After obtaining a contract with the Premier C league, he is representing California Zalmi.
The former Pakistani wicketkeeper’s brother had previously departed the country in the middle of the season to play league cricket in the United States.
