SECP Registers 2,017 New Companies in the Month of October

In October, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered 2,017 new companies, bringing the total number of companies registered to 154,093.

Around 99 percent of companies were registered online, with 140 users from outside the United States. Moreover, there are 63 percent private limited corporations, 33 percent single-member firms, and 3% public unlisted companies, not-for-profit associations, and limited liability partnerships (LLP) in the October incorporation.

A total of 58 new firms have received foreign investment. Afghanistan, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malta, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, the UAE, the UK, and the US are among the international investors in these companies.
